Hello, I’m Xavier Pastor, and my goal is to help industrial companies remain generators of wealth in a sustainable way, consolidating their growth.

Born in Ibi, an industrial town, I grew up with roots in the toy industry. I studied Industrial Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and completed my education at the École Centrale de Lyon, where I gained an international perspective and established connections with students from all over Europe and other regions.

Hello, I’m Xavier Pastor, and my goal is to help industrial companies remain generators of wealth in a sustainable way, consolidating their growth.

I was born in Ibi, a quintessential industrial town that throughout the 20th century established its wealth in industry and has successfully overcome several crises by diversifying and expanding its productive sectors, highlighting its excellent craftsmanship.

With family roots in the toy industry, I studied Industrial Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Six crucial years in my personal and professional development, which I concluded by completing my final year of studies and my final project in Lyon, France, at the École Centrale de Lyon, as part of the Erasmus exchange programme for European students, which was just starting at that time. There, I shared studies and leisure with students from all over Europe and Francophone Africa, in an experience that allowed me to break away from many stereotypes and broaden my horizons.

In my professional life, I have always been linked to industrial companies, assuming a variety of roles and leading processes of change and the introduction of new technologies and working methodologies. My engineering training has always allowed me to quickly adapt to different work environments and provided the foundation for me to deepen my specialised training when necessary. International business management, quality management systems, intellectual property, occupational safety and emergencies, finance, renewable energies… are some of the areas in which I have expanded my knowledge over time.

I believe it is important to feel rooted in the place where you live and work, but it is also essential to have the wings to fly and move freely around the world. By speaking fluent English and French, and having knowledge of other languages like Portuguese, Italian, and German, I have been able to travel practically everywhere, looking for clients or suppliers, or even establishing factories abroad. I have never hesitated to pack my bags and travel to the other side of the world when necessary. In this, I must thank my family, and especially my wife, who never complained when I spent weeks away from home.

I consider myself an open and communicative person, patient and persistent; virtues that are very necessary in any job, but even more so in mine. Solutions to problems do not appear out of nowhere. And although, as we often say, experience is an asset, it is necessary to talk to many people, study a lot, and be very persistent so that ideas come to fruition and, moreover, that one of them is the right one. Engineering, from which the word “engineer” derives, is not innate knowledge.
